France: The Charm of Honfleur

The lovely town of Honfleur in the northwest of France was so charming!   Winding through the quiet side streets, it felt as if we had the town to ourselves.  I found the rustic sidewalks, beautiful handcrafted signs and weathered doors enchanting.  But, when sunset approached, we were drawn back to the water – still as glass reflecting the picturesque port.  Select prints are available in my Etsy shop.

Rooftops of Paris

There’s nothing quite like admiring the morning sunlight wash over the rooftops in Paris.  But, even when the sun hides out in winter, the rooftops have beauty and character all their own.

San Francisco Scenes: Market Street

Don’t walk down Market Street without pausing to look up.  The architectural details on many of the buildings are amazing.  One of my favorite things about San Francisco has to be that streetcars and cable cars are still in operation.   These are a couple streetcars we caught strolling Market Street.   If you’re in San Francisco, be sure to pay a visit to the Cable Car museum.  And now, after a stop in a great hamburger joint, Super Duper, we have yet another reason to visit Market Street. (Thanks for the tip, Maria!) Check it out – you won’t be disappointed.

I lived in SF for a few years as a child, and haven’t been back since. I’ve been wanting to plan a road trip back up there very badly! I will have to check out Market Street when I do… and who can resist a burger joint called Super Duper?? Love the photos!

Bouquinistes of Paris

I find television to be very educating.  Every time somebody turns on the set, I go in the other room and read a book.”  ~ Groucho Marx

Strolling the Seine in Paris, you can pause to peruse the bookseller stalls and you may find a treasure in the form of an antique book, magazine, art or souvenir.  Either way, it’s fun to look.
